A meeting was held with the participation of representatives from the State Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the “Association of Fish Producers and Processors of Azerbaijan” Public Union.
The event, held at the administrative building of the State Supervision Service for Water Use and Protection, was attended by the Deputy Head of the Service, Tural Abbasov; heads of departments Atakhan Bədəlov and Anar Alməmmədli; Deputy Chairman of the Agrarian Services Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture, Elməddin Namazov; Head of the Fishery and Aquaculture Research Center under the Biological Diversity Conservation Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Elçin Məmmədov; Chairman of the “Association of Fish Producers and Processors of Azerbaijan” Public Union, Zaur Salmanlı; and other employees of the relevant institutions.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss measures to prevent illegal use and wastage of water in aquaculture water bodies, raise awareness among aquaculture entities regarding water use and wastewater discharge, and implement relevant actions to eliminate inconsistencies in fish farming enterprises.
